little nurse

my sweetest baby girl was taking care of her sad sick big sis in the tub, making sure she had plenty of toys and warm water and making sure she didn't drowned then she decided she was missing out on all the fun so she got in...with all her clothes on!!! Eden was thrilled! me- not so much This was our Saturday girls day(boys were off at fathers and sons for the 2nd weekend) we had big plans Marys baptisem(how do u spell this word),a movie with the Hanna's but poor Eden got sick so we stayed in. Sweet Heather brought over lunch and Ivey spent the afternoon with Abree, they saved the day!

chicken dinner

so disgusting right?? Im not good with chicken it grosses me out but i decided i could roast a whole chicken and it would be amazing!

no it was so gross what is going on with this neck what the heck why is it still there

and this mess why isnt it in a bag ugh!! notice the tongs i tried to dig it all out with them but it didn't work and i had to use my hands

got the guts out washed it up well i mean rinsed it off then put it in a baking disk i sliced a onion and sat the chicken on it the stuffed the bird with lemons garlic and parsley poured olive oil all over it and added salt pepper tyme rosemary and garlic and herb seasoning

then we ate it!! and it was juicy and wonderful I put the neck on Josh's plate and it grossed him out so I dont think he ate much but in the end all the nastiness was worth it and such a cheap dinner my chicken was 3 buck on sale whats that like 70 cents a pound awesome!!

off to fathers and sons!!


ready for a fun boys weekend, the guys went with our ward for the first time

i know how it works ... guys dont take cameras with them so this is it for photos but it works, happy faces excited boys!!! my boys actually went two weekends in a row 2nd weekend with Harmony ward! Two super weekends but they had the most fun with the old ward!! So many great friends!! Im glad they had fun and that no one lost a tooth ...seriously i worry about it every year

cooking

I made two delicious snacks last night oatmeal raisin protein balls and strawberry protein sorbet because I hate when I want something sweet to eat at night and there is no good choices these are better choices than the candy bars that we have in the frig my balls werent quite as tasty as the other balls i made but still pretty good hahahah that sounds terrible no actually mine are great!! better after chilled in the frig I love my blendtec and all the fun treats i can make with it i used it to grind my oats into oat flour for oatmeal pancakes awesome and we made super yummy chocolate shakes/ice cream in it i am a bad mom i make thing i would like to eat then feed it to my kids

Strawberry protein sorbet

1 10oz bottle special k protein shake strawberry
2 tsp organic blue agave sweetener
ice 2 good scoops
frozen strawberries 2 good scoops (this fills the blender full)
a slash of fat free milk or water
5 chunks watermelon (i had a few slices of a baby watermelon felt over from dinner so i threw them in)
blend away!!
i served josh a bowl and he loved it them saved the rest in the freezer

what a mess!!!!

this is my huge cooking mess i decided to just do it all at once i guess i had stuff everywhere not a free surface in site even both ovens going yes i cooked while josh watched the basketball game

i made hummus and baked pita chips ,granola and protein balls and a big pot of brown rice noodles ,veggies and pesto!! yep that's a mess and lots of good food!!! makes me grateful for my dishwasher to bad i don't have a maid....now what to make for dinner tonight???
